Door County Bike Plan Under Discussion, May 22, 23

There will be several opportunities for those who enjoy Silent Sports in Door County to have a big impact this upcoming season,” says Bob Dickson, President Door County Silent Sports Alliance (DCSSA).

Door County has contracted with the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin to develop a new County wide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. The Bicycle Federation will hold open public informational meetings on Tuesday, May 22 at the Gibraltar Community Center, 4097 Wisconsin 42, Fish Creek beginning at 6:30 pm. The second meeting takes place on Wednesday, May 23 at the Nasewaupee Town Hall, 3388 County PD, also at 6:30 pm.

“Another opportunity for residents and visitors to impact the Silent Sports activities will occur beginning this fall when the WI DNR opens up the five Door County State Park Master Plans,” adds Dickson. “These plans will determine the direction of recreation in our Door County State Parks for the next 10 to 20 years.”
